History of the company
1997
A new name, on the creation of the company Schell Fahrzeugbau KG, emerges on the mobile home sector: PhoeniX Reisemobile (motor homes). This company (an independently run family firm) operates using the wide experience of the team that set it up. Master joiner Johannes Schell has more than 22 years experience of designing and assembling mobile homes and his son Olivier, a master joiner and a graduate in business management, has more than 5 years experience.
1998
In July production starts in the newly constructed premises in Aschbach. The initial operation includes 25 employees, a 2000 square metre workshop and an annual target of producing 90 vehicles.
1999
After just one year, 156 PhoeniX mobile homes have been delivered. The product range increases and expansion takes place to include the “6.5 up to 8.6 ton“ category.
2000
The purchase of an adjacent piece of land and the building of a warehouse were positives to emerge from the early years. In addition, a new line was introduced: the newly designed integrated vehicle based on the Vario 815D.
2001
As early as February, the 350th PhoeniX mobile home is handed over to its proud owner. An indication of how much mobile home enthusiasts appreciate the extent to which Schell Fahrzeug KG takes things seriously. Only the best for our customers!
2004
Introduction of the new Iveco Daily Liner at the CMT Holiday Exhibition in Stuttgart.
2005
PhoeniX introduced the Alkove with a new rear shroud and the MAN TGL at the Caravan Exhibition in Dusseldorf.
2006
PhoeniX delivers the 1000th PhoeniX mobile home.
